| We've seen quite a few bluetooth car kits come into our
offices over the last few months, but this multi-purpose model stood out
amongst the crowd thanks to its versatility and its fantastic price /
performance ratio. This Bluetooth Handsfree kit is unique in that it
is designed to work either in the car or as a desktop hands free unit!
As a desktop unit, it can be used to give you extra freedom when
using your mobile in an office or home environment - without having to
wear any headsets. It could even assist with a conference call.
As a car kit, it allows you to make and receive calls more safely in
a car.
Unlike many of the handsfree units available where the microphone is
built into the main unit and positioned by the speaker (causing inherent
sound problems), this model has a "goose neck" microphone which is
attached to the end of a flexible wire that can be positioned as
required.
The unit is supplied with a removeable metal clip to help with
positioning the box in the car. In our tests, we found that the
passengers sunshade was a perfect location, and with the microphone
positioned between the passenger and the driver both could take part in
a telephone call and be clearly heard by the other caller.
The quality audio is particularly noticeable in the car, where the
high performance ASIC Digital Signal Processor (DPS) performs real time
noise cancellation.
The Bluetooth Handsfree has a choice of power supplies - it can be
powered by either 3 AA batteries, or alternatively can be powered in the
car using the included "cigarette lighter" adaptor. |
